Most of us can talk about the essential components of powerful teaching and learning—active inquiry, in-depth learning, and performance assessment. But what these terms do not provide are images of what it looks like. And images are often what teachers need most to support growth in their teaching practice.
To support teachers engaged in this work, the Small Schools Project created Picturing the Possibilities, a video series highlighting powerful teaching and learning.
The video package includes support materials to guide teachers through the steps that will help broaden and further their understanding of the practice. The materials have the potential to be a long-term professional development piece; the protocols and processes are differentiated for staff new to the change process and veteran staff seeking refinement.
